Future Home Technology builds green and uses energy star products in our custom moduar home manufacturing

PRODUCTS WE ARE USING FOR “GREEN” HOMES
AT
FUTURE HOME TECHNOLOGY


Ø      Power Joist I-Beams by Anthony in place of 2 x 10 floor joists.
Ø      ¾” Advantech OSB T & G floor decking in place of standard ¾” OSB.  Low formaldehyde chemicals.
Ø      5/8” OSB Roof sheathing in place of 5/8” Plywood.  OSB is a recycled product.
Ø      5/8” Side and Marriage Wall sheathing in place of 7/16” OSB.  Higher R-Value.
Ø      2 x 8 Exterior wall studs 24” OC in place of 2 x 6 16” OC.  Using less wood per foot of walls.
Ø      All “FSC” (Forest Stewardship Council) #2 SPF rated lumber. 
Ø      Kohler 1.28 gallon flush water closets.
Ø      Owens – Corning fiberglass insulation with Greenguard™ rating.  R30 for exterior walls; R49 for ceiling.  (Owens – Corning with Greenguard™ is currently what FHT installs in all homes).
Ø      PEX water supplies.  (FHT currently uses standard in all homes).
Ø      Andersen 400 Series windows.  FHT currently offers as an option.
Ø      Merillat cabinetry.  All Merillat cabinets are made from “FSC” rated wood materials.  FHT uses Merillat exclusively.
Ø      USG Drywall.  35% recycled product.
Ø      0-VOC Sherwin – Williams wall paint.
Ø      MDF Mouldings including jamb, casing and baseboard.
Ø      Hardiplank Fiber Cement Siding.
Ø      GE Profile Series Appliances, Energy Star rated.
Ø      Seagull Lighting, Energy Star rated.
Ø      Thermatru™ Energy Star Fiberglass Exterior Doors
Ø      Masonite™ Solid Core 6-Panel Interior Doors.

This is just some of what FHT is doing to provide a Green Home through our manufacturing facility.  More Green products will be researched by the Purchasing Department.
