Q)    How long has Future Home Technology, Inc. (“FHT”) been building homes?

A)    FHT has been engineering and building high quality custom design single family homes for over fifteen years. During this period, FHT has custom designed, engineered, and built over 4,300 single family homes.


Q)    How do I purchase a home from FHT?

A)    FHT sells its homes to qualified builders; many of our relationships with builders date back to the inception of our business. FHT will refer retail inquiries to the builder in the area you are planning to build a Future Home. FHT does not sell to retail customers; again, we only sell to qualified builders.

Q)    Does FHT Have model homes? Does FHT offer plant tours?

A)    FHT has two models set up on our facility for viewing during our normal business hours. The colonial is a three thousand square foot home that has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining room. The ranch has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, breakfast nook, living and dining rooms; seventeen hundred square foot home. Both homes are completed with many standard amenities,  product upgrades and options that our Company offers to our builders. Plant tours are available to qualified builders of FHT only.


Q)    We are considering purchasing a home from FHT. How may we receive additional information about FHT homes?

A)    To receive additional information on our product, fill out the appropriate questionnaire on our website. When we receive this information, we will send the requested information by return mail inclusive of referring you to one of our builders.




Q)    How long does it take to build a FHT home?

A)    Once a home is customized, engineered, and the builder’s order is complete with all the specifications and options chosen for the home, FHT’s purchasing department will order the necessary products from our quality vendors (see our vendor links/products we offer) which is generally available within three weeks. The home is built in a one hundred thousand square foot production facility equipped with the latest building equipment and technology. FHT employs approximately one hundred craftsmen; homes are built in six to eight days.


Q)    What is FHT’s service and sales area?

A)    The service and sales area of FHT covers the major portion of the northeast ranging from the southern part of Maine to Maryland. These areas include: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maryland, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Delaware.


Q)    May I design my own home instead of using a standard floor plan?

A)    FHT builds most homes for its builders from customized floor plans. Please see the hundreds of custom designed floor plans that can be found on our website.


Q)    Do FHT’s homes meet standard building codes?


A)    FHT meets or exceeds all standard building codes in the state that the home will be built in. As an additional quality check, a third party firm inspects all of the homes built by us. In addition, FHT has state systems approvals in a construction industry (modular/system built) that is highly regulated compared to homes built on site (Stick built).

Q)    Are modular homes built different from site built homes?

A)    Factory built homes (modular/system built) are similar and also different than site built homes. Factory built homes are built in an enclosed environment that facilitates the following; Quality, raw materials and products stored in house, technology, crane systems, jigs, state of the art equipment, improved structure, and craftsmen employed for long term tenure.
